Brief

During our internship we worked on a powered by tweets design competition. Our idea ended up winning first place and was displayed at the London Design Festival.

Insight

When it comes to giving blood, gay men don't have equal rights to save lives.

Idea

We created a tweet-powered sculpture representing the rainbow flag. For every tweet, a single drop of red liquid fell into the clear layer of the flag, symbolising ‘wasted’ blood donations.

Only when the 100,000 mark had been reached will the layer be filled red. Putting the red back into the rainbow.


Winner Powered by Tweets Competition

For every tweet, a single drop of red liquid would slowly fill up the flag.
